Congratulations

Brandon Bates, our youth director, was selected to be one of five young adults to represent the 8-state South Central Jurisdiction of the United Methodist Church in Johannesburg, South Africa. The Global Young Peoples Convocation and Legislative Assembly, is made up of five youth, five young adults and two adult youth workers from every U.S. jurisdiction, as well as reps from every other continent. The event will provide a great opportunity for people from throughout the world to come together, share, learn, worship and, most importantly, connect with one another.

 UMYF

  United Methodist Youth Fellowship, the flagship of the youth department meets almost every Sunday of the year. The youth investigate various topics and discuss the how it relates to the every day life of the youth.

 Sunday School

  After our Contemporary Worship Service, come join us for Sunday School.

 Spring Break Trip

  Our annual Spring trip for 2008 is March 24

 Winter Retreat

  One of our best attended events is our Winter Retreat. The 2008 dates are Feb. 1-3

 Ozark Mission Project

  The youth go into the community giving up a week of their summer to serve the less fortunate in various ways during the Ozark Mission Project. Dates for 2008 are June 8-14 & June 22-28.

 Special Activities

  The youth are always doing Special Activities. Check out Veritas, Feb. 29 - Mar 2 in Ft Smith and the Conference Youth Choir Tour, June 22-29 in Memphis.

 Youth Council

The YOUth Council is responsible for helping plan, supervise, and schedule various special and ongoing youth activities. YOUth council members are also expected to be leaders by example through their presence and attitude.

The meetings will be the second Sunday of each month, following Sunday School from 11:30-12:30. If conflicts arise, or another meeting is needed, everyone will be promptly notified.
