Worship at Lakewood
Lakewood UMC is a unique Church located at 1922 Topf Road, North Little Rock. Three worship services giving people of all ages something that will help draw them closer to Jesus Christ through worship. Please read through the following summaries and times of our worship services and find which one will best fit your needs. Our first Traditional Worship Service starts at 8:45 AM
in the Sanctuary. The Sanctuary can be easily identified by the large
steeple that overlooks Lakewood. During this service you will
experience the classic worship style of the United Methodist Church.
Worship songs will include such favorites as "On Eagles
Wings" and "Amazing Grace." Responsive readings are
also throughout the service as special music is presented by the Joyful
Noise choir. The service ends at 9:15 at which time we
invite you to join one of our great Sunday
School Classes, beginning at 9:45.
Our next service is our Contemporary Worship Service at 9:45 AM. We will meet in Wesley Hall. During this service you will experience a casual service (in casual attire) with a contemporary worship style. Worship songs will include music like "Be Glorified" and "Every Move I Make" all led by our worship band the LEVItes. The service lasts until 10:30 at which time we invite the youth to Sunday School and the adults to attend one of our two classes, who meet at 10:45.
Our second Traditional Service starts at 10:45 AM in the Sanctuary. The Sanctuary can be easily identified by the large steeple that overlooks Lakewood. During this service you will experience the classic worship style of the United Methodist Church with a progressive twist. Worship songs will include such favorites as "All Things Bright and Beautiful" and "Shine Jesus Shine." Song are sung from the United Methodist Hymnal and from The Faith We Sing Hymnal. A children's sermon is presented and followed by Children's Church. Chancel Choir. The service lets out at 11:45.
