United Methodist Women

All women of the church are invited to participate in United Methodist Women (UMW). The purpose of UMW is as follows - "The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church." Carol Williams is serving as President. The unit is divided into five circles, three day time groups and two evening groups. Meetings are always listed in the church calendar. Local mission projects supported by the UMW are Our House, Red Cross Blood Bank, Union Rescue Mission, Youth Home, Aldersgate, UAMS Med Center nursery, Stork Ministry, MIWATCH, Heaven's Loft and other local projects.
